The short version
Using our calculators requires no personal information. If you request quotes, we share your name, contact info, ZIP code, and project details with up to 3 local pros so they can contact you about your project. We never sell your data to data brokers, and we never share quote requests with more than 3 pros.
What we collect
- Quote requests: name, phone, email, ZIP code, project type, and project details — only when you submit the quote form.
- Email list: your email address, only if you sign up for new tools and cost guides.
- Basic analytics: anonymized page views (in Phase 2) to understand which calculators people use. No cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles.
How quote requests work
When you submit a quote request, we match your project type and ZIP code against local contractors in our network and share your details with up to 3 of them. Those pros may call, text, or email you about your project. By submitting the form, you consent to being contacted this way. This is how the site stays free — pros pay us a fee for qualified introductions.
What we don't do
- We don't sell personal information to data brokers or third-party marketers.
- We don't share your details with more than 3 pros per request.
- We don't require accounts or collect information to use the calculators.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. You can also unsubscribe from emails at any time with one click. To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Data security
We store quote data securely and limit access to what's needed to operate the matching service. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow standard practices to protect your information.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and note the change on the homepage. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
